Server still down?

    I've been trying to get on all day. I thought the servers would be up at 10am CST. but now it's 8pm and I still cannot log in. anyone know whats going on? I can't find anything in forums

    I was going for octuple XP, but 64x will do nicely. I always wanted to attenuate in less than a minute :thumbs up::D:thumbs up:

    personally I'm concerned with the health of the devs. If they aren't close to a solution perhaps 105 for another few days?

    We don't want them burning out...

    Do not know who cares about selling heritage items, but without pet food fix we can live another 10 years :)
    Rolling back to R105 is a good idea ... can you imagine, how many new bugs a small team of developers can produce, if they are under such a weekend's stress

    From what atos was saying in discord earlier it was basically human error potentially during the update, which can happen to anyone really. Sadly these things happen and can happen to anyone.

    Rolling back to 105 seems to be the best move right now.
    Using pure logic, if a release was meant to polish the game but ends up breaking it, just ditch the patch and start over with time to investigate what went wrong while players can enjoy the latest stable version.

    Now if somehow it's not viable to rollback, that's a primary mistake by the devs because being able to roll back to last stable version is a very, very, very basic good practice in SW development.

    Just back after 3 or 4 years away...what really worries me is that there is (or at least I can't find) extremely poor communication from the developers on this forum. Apparently they are using twitter or something called 'discord' to let people know what's going on. For me this seems silly...but I'm old...and stooped. I guess I need to try back in another few years assuming I'm still breathing.

    Really not at all unusual for a sysop to take down the bbs for a day or two while they work on edits; i've been seeing this occur since the 80's and its totally normal.
