Shardfalls would be perfect for a Progressive Spawn System

    Ultima Online fans reminisce about Champion Spawns...
    PVE-focused players with an objective sometimes requiring the aid of PVP-focused players defending them from thieves.

    EverQuest fans reminisce about playing on the Rallos Zek server (open-pvp, full loot) and attempting to camp a Rare Spawn...

    RIFT had these really cool progressive spawn sites that anyone could join in on:

    Couldn't find a good overview video. At about 6:20 into the video, you'll see the player inside of a Nature Rift doing multiple tasks to progress through the stages of the spawn in order to complete it.

    High-yield resources nodes are one thing that could bring players to Shardfalls... but what if you had to progress through a PVE scenario in order to activate those nodes until the spawn reset?...

    Here are the stages of the spawn... right here in the concept art:

    What if Shardfalls had these large glittery resource nodes... but they are enveloped by a nasty mist of protection...
    1. Imagine if there were a lot of creature type #1 just floating around the Shardfalls. You kill these off with your friends...
    2. Several #2's emerge from the ground! They're bigger! Tougher! You enlist the help of nearby players. You kill these off...
    3. A swarm of hostile and quick #3's charge! You call your guildmates for assistance. Some arrive and you narrowly escape death as you kill these off...
    4. A few big #4's surround you! The rest of your guild finally shows up and you kill these off...
    5. One big #5 boss appears... Everyone helps defeat it!
    Suddenly... the locked "high-yield" resource nodes are no longer protected... Hurry! Grab what you can!! ;)

    Of course, after pvp/pve death, all ressources must stay on corps.

    Yes. Scene-based loot. Anything gathered here would be left on your corpse and made lootable to other Players in this scene, including your friendly guildmates to protect. Everyone make sure to take that "Heavy Lifter" skill. ;)
