Is there a way to give decks a shortcut?
Since the character is so quick ou of combat mode you can switch decks faster.
Wouldnt it be cool to instantly switch decks, including gear per hotkey ?

F1 - Ranged Deck with Slows etc...
    F2 - Undead deck
    F3 - general deck
    F4 - Troll
    F5 - Dragons
    F6 - PVP
    F7 - ...

Greetings all, does the deck swap only swap between 2 decks, main and alternate? I have tried the swap between main with my usual armor, weapons, and spells with another deck that has same armor and weapons but with buffs that I need to cast and then switch back. Additional decks would open up more opportunities.

I am very interested in this. I will not be able to test any of this until this weekend. I have high hopes for this.

It makes you in combination with the reduced time to exit combat very , very versatile .
It's against "roleplay" if you think of playing a role, because you can more or less switch between 10 roles instantly or at least very quick (2-3 seconds), but it's sure a feature the core gamers here like.

I dont like it for the Grand view on Roleplaying Games, but i used it too for things like versus Undead or switch between Killer and Supporter or Buffdeck and Main Deck or whatever.
With keybinding and very much shortened time to get out of combat it makes it a lot easier.
Sometimes, when i was kiting a bunch of mobs, i ran long enough to get out of combat , opened deck window, choosed another deck and fight on.
The alternate deck was the buff deck and useless in combat, ok things have changed since and i can setup decks different now.

This way you are allways able to quickswitch to the Role/Deck you need in this Situation.
You arent prepared for respawn or a small Boss suddenly spawns? No problem adapt, choose the right deck in seconds and go on.

It would be totally badass if we could make emote and RP decks like that allowing you to feel more immersed and spontaneous.

The way i used it the most time was to have 2 more or less similar Decks but support skills vary.
    One deck to heal oneself
    One to debuff the enemy
Now i can add more variations of my main deck and switch between while fighting.
I can choose if i want fireflys or blind or more AoE or more single target damage or a little bit of healing or a lot of HoT and so forth.

The limitation the Deck should do is softened a lot, or?

It works just like swapping from main deck to alternate deck - but with way more options. Its great but the issue is you cant move around your decks in the deck window. So to get a deck to a particular number you need to either change the keybind or copy/delete decks to get it in the right spot. An ability to change the deck orders is really needed.

I really feel that if you don't already have an alternate deck set then using a hotkey should not set it either.

    Ok, to understand it correct.

The hotkey doesnt change your deck if out of combat ,but only makes it the alternate deck you can switch to while in combat ???

I should login and try by myself :p

When you press the hotkey, it switches your deck whether your in combat mode or not. The previous deck is automatically flagged alternate.

that unerlines my assumption that the Deck restriction is somewhat lifted or heavily softed.
    thanks for Info

edit: out of combat it is instantly and while in combat it is the 3s timer bar?

that means if i root somebody or stun or mesmerize i can more or less instantly switch decks/ roles?!?

I wouldn't need a makro for that, i'll try it out now.
scheath - hotkey, unsheath - how long 2 seconds?

iirc the swap time is also affected by how much gear is changed in the swap.

seems true - just tested - swapping deck is abut 3s no matter of in combat or not. maybe longer if you also reequip a full set of armor.

This imho is you can quickswitch to 10 decks in a PVP situation ^^
    WOW!

You dont have to root or stun, you can switch between the 10 preset decks any time, even in the middle of the fight.

yap - bad for PVP balance imho

edit: but if a root him and are not in range or i mezz him i have all the time i want to become a heavy plate melee guy when i was a light air archer or whatever befor and i have 10 roles/ decks to counter any role/deck my opponent has.
IF i have leveld all those Skills. the more skills i have the more versatile i am and "Roles" dont matter that much, what matter is how many roles/ decks i have to be best prepared to fight my oponent.

and here the argument @Chris and @LORD British and others give, that skilling as much skills as high as possible dont matter, because the deck limits you is at best very vague or just not true, because if you can switch between 10 decks in seconds, well.

The time to switch decks depends largely on how much equipment you're changing. I believe it's the same in our out of combat. However, if you're not in combat then you can change decks using the deck window (I forget what it's called, press Y or control+Y) and it will be instant regardless of how much equipment is changed.

I think this is an awesome idea!
Fumbling through the emotes menu is cumbersome.
I hope the Devs see this & can implement it sooner, rather than later....
@Chris @DarkStarr Pretty Please, with a cherry on top?

It doesn't affect me when I RP... perhaps I am more imaginative... it might be all the years I spent with paper/pen RP games...
