Shroud of the QAvatar Build Contest, 1200 crowns prize pool!

Welcome to the 1200 Coto Contest where you get to decide my build for my Shroud of the QAvatar project! Here are 5 different build suggestions I've received, which you can vote if you would like to see! Voting is now open, and you can vote for every single build you would like to see (so you are not forced to make a choice).

The voting ends at 5 PM Eastern time, on the 19th of December 2020. The build with the most votes will then be the build I will use for the foreseeable future on stream, with my offline Character.

The build with the most votes will reward the creator 1000 crowns, and 2nd place will receive 200 crowns.

Also, every participant will receive 100 Crowns simply for having provided a suggestion (which will be added on top of the prizes for the vote).

Only 1 reward will be given out for any user who submitted more than one build idea!

 

By the way, I will be using Companion of the Avatar to help me along the way, thanks @Barugon for this amazing tool! I will be playing with mostly maxed skills, but when testing this out a bit more I will reduce my skills to reasonable numbers!

I played a year before I even added a second deck But recently I am using a polearm build for my main stuff. I am also playing around with a no gear build as Captain Underpants. Just my tighty whiteys and a cloak and rings and a squeeker as a pet. No weapons just fire magic. It makes for an entertaining stream.

 

I'd like to see variations around ranged combat.

 

I was thinking about trying a Ranged spec and test the different combinations with that at some point (with potential 2nd specs being Earth, Light armor, Heavy Armor, Tactics, Air, life or Chaos). How does that sound?

Waiting on your suggestion for my first build! Guaranteed 1k or 200 cotos since I didn't get any other suggestion too!

 

Non Magic Build: Heavy Armor, Dual-wielding Swords, using tactics and any physical passives to assistance you. No magic resistance would be allowed to be used other than what you have on equipment.

Heavy Armor Magic Build. You have the freedom to choose how you want to play. You must use offensive magic as your main weapon, and you must use heavy armor. Fizzles be damned.

 

Thanks for the suggestions! For your first build, are you saying absolutely 0 magic, as in 0 levels in all skills? Relatively similar (except I got attunement and wardings up) to what I have on live so this one would be relatively easy IMO, but it could allow to try different options.

For the 2nd one, Heavy armor mage I have a few ideas already!

Light armor only, All warding skills, subterfuge specialist. No magic, but you can use all weapons \o/

I suggest light armor as a secondary specialty .-.

become the Arkah. Learn the ways of the arkah \o/

Oh and if you really wanna try legit Arking, dual daggers are the preferred weapon! But, you have access to all when needed

 

So a light armor, light armor user! Sounds great! I've seen some pretty nasty light armor specs lately, so I know this is something that could lead to some very strong builds, the no magic part stops my "spellbinders stance+ shdowstep assassin" idea, but could provide some neat results nonetheless! Giving a few hours for @Girlsname to answer since he said he had something cooking, and the I will open up the polls! Keep em coming, love these ideas, love the restriction based ones as well, limits the things I need to test but also brings the challenge level up!

So you know it will be rather difficult to play this 100% solo. But as for being an online group-play choice, this could very well be probably one of the craziest things.


— this build will revolve around +stealth% , sneak attack, (could go bludgeon or ranged, each have their own benefits)

Chaos Spec -
- Clone = +stealth% while Chaos Specd
(Can’t use Embrys harp solo, but with summoned clone, or party member you get the +30% stealth from it)
- CF for faster pew pew

Subterfuge Spec -

- Sneak Attack, can be used with ranged wep, it scales with bow attacks aka Eagle Eye%
—— it’s also true to use a 2h bludgeon wep, will increase the min-max dmg of sneak attack, can also use bezerk. Sneak attack scales with +% stealth you’re affected by. So the more +stealth% the better!

- Camouflage = stealth %
- Silent Movement = stealth%

You can kind of see that this build, especially in a group, will be a heavy nuker, keep clone on passive, you’ll be sneak attacking from ranged, while using aimed shot, under the affect of CF(Sneak attack is low focus cost)

Might have left out some flavor text, just wanted to get the face out.

 

Gosh yeah that would be rough to play solo. But hey, maybe with 200 in all skills it could work! Could then try weaker and maybe differently invested into only subterfuge and not chaos, maybe something like focus spec to get more focus regen while fighting and using spellbinders with the chaotic clone instead! Heck it could be a nice bow build.
