The loading times improvement is huge! the framerate increase is decent, still needs some work in POTs and npc towns with lot of housing.

    Good job Port.

We've got a lot more work to do but we did have some major break through's this release. Glad it has been noticed. Load times still need a LOT of love. The frame rate improvement will vary depending on whether you were CPU or GPU bound before! Many scenes are still GPU bound and need some more love.

I too like the frame rate improvements. Most times it's running more fluidly now.

But... the loading times are long as ever. Maybe only on my 8GB system, but it still is nearly unplayable, unless I am in a very relaxed mood to endure the long loading times....

Maybe the next release(s) will improve on that matter. I hope so, because at the moment the loading times are keeping me from playing and enjoing the game.

Loading times do seem faster and frame rate is great when not in a major town where I get 20fps, but its not as choppy though so it's playable for me now, but for the masses who would play on release day it would be not acceptable.

I still cannot get over the craziness of their being no difference between 4k and 1080p why is that Devs Chris?
I just ran up and down in the same street in Adoris, up one way was 18 fps and back the other was 24 fps exactly the same fps in 4k 1080p and even 900p, what gives lol?

Not sure how they did it, but I am now able to enter Owl's Head, run to the church, keep walking, turn around, walk back to the church, turn, and the back of the church finally finishes loading.

But FPS was better, and the scene load took significantly less time, so there is that.

One of the devices I use to run SOTA is a Wacom MobileStudio 13. Up until now, I only used this to free myself from the desktop and I would typically just run it on fastest settings. This release, that has moved to beautiful. Thanks! Now, if only there was touchscreen support or pen support for navigation. Hint, hint

I can actually fight with the touch screen. A finger press on the skill icon triggers it and targeting works too. The problem really is mostly movement. If I could move without a mouse, I would be in gaming heaven. I bet it would take no time to add support for that. Keyboards can be used from your lap, but mice cannot.

I noticed the same thing on my 8GB system. My GTX 750 Ti is not that slow of a card, so I assume that framerates were being bound by my older core i3 540 CPU, but I could be wrong. Whatever Chris did tilted the frame rate in my favor, but had little noticeable effect on the loading times, which makes me wonder if the load time improvements are memory-dependent.
