I had added "Silent Movement" to my utility bar and used it. When I was drawn into a combat I wanted to hide again after dispatching the first foe but the game told me that I can´t use SM from the utility hotbar while in combat.

So I added SM to the combat bar, too. However unlike the utility bar, where I simply click SM to hide, in the combat bar SM can be charged. The description of the spell with duration and hidden percentage is the same as in the utility bar - so what is the point of charging SM?

    2) Light Armour specialization - is that only mutually exclusive with Heavy Armour specialization or with all kinds of specialization so that one can only learn 1 school specialization while maintaining a 2nd?

You can only have 2 specializations and can only train one at a time.

Some skills do not improve with charging or stacking. Silent Movement is one that does not.

Turn on combat hotbar tooltips in the settings, hold down the hotkey to charge the skill and, before releasing, hover your mouse over the skill on your hotbar and you should see what the benefits are when charged.

Oh - I never noticed that before, because I always charged the skills with the left mouse pressed and when I let the mouse button loose it was directly released.

So - SM in the utility bar for hiding outside combat costs 9 Focus, takes 1,5 sec. to execute, has a cooldown of 30 secs and gives 62% stealth for 1 Minute and 3 sec.
SM in the combat bar shows exactly the same.
When holding the numberbutton to charge instead of using the mouse the effects of SM do not change - but the focus is reduced from 9 to 8 and then to 7...

Now Focus has never been something I would run out of for me so saving 2 Focus for holding the button is not really worthwhile.

Unfortunately, some skills don't show all the benefit of charging in the tooltip. Hover your mouse over the buff icon under your name; it should show higher stealth and duration if it was charged.

You´re right. The icon in the toolbars do not show the different effects but the mini-icon of current effects show an increase:
Toolbar: 62,3% stealth for 1 Minute 3 sec

Mini-Icon after fully charging SM: 71,7% stealth for 1 Minute 39 sec
So it is more than just a reduce in Focus cost. Thankyou.
