Been trying to level up a specific skill. I have one of the skill locked (so it has it's cooldown, etc etc), but placed the duplicates of the skill into the deck, and let it run.

One thing I've noticed is that the slug time is exactly the same as a skill. ~15 seconds (give or take).

Since slugs are mainly used by lower level characters who do not have enough skills to fill their deck (but too many to lock into the hotbar), or by those wanting to advance specific skills (like at a training dummy), would it be possible to lower the time a slug stays on your hotbar?

Nothing big, maybe drop it to 10 seconds instead of 15?

You can right click the slug or press control+number and it'll be discarded immediately.

You can discard any glyph by right-clicking it, slug or not. :D

I hear ya! I've made so many assumptions that kept me from doing stuff. You'd laugh at how trainwrecked I was when I broke my skinning knife and couldn't figure out how to repair it because equipped tools don't appear in your inventory list. If I hadn't joined a guild with nice people who don't mind explaining things that people do everyday.

Not only can you discard slugs,

Slugs aren't designed for low-level characters. In fact, they're there specifically so that players don't make a deck of ONLY 1 or 2 glyphs and spam them non-stop... the same way a Trading Card Games usually enforce players to have use a minimum amount of cards, otherwise the randomness is basically non-existant. The amount of slugs you have is based on the minimum glyph limit and THAT is based on Adv Level.

    Woo! Responses.

I understand what everyone has said (And thank you for the right-click/ Ctrl-# info... I didn't know that), but I still believe that slugs should have a lesser up-time than skills.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if you have slugs in your deck, you have built it wrong, or do not understand how it works. A better tutorial is needed. Also, read the manual!! :)

Be that as it may, it wouldn't change how fast glyphs get drawn... so what's the difference? Unless that's what you're suggesting.

1: assign first slot to the skill you want, locked.
2: assign ALL the rest of the slots to the skill you want, unlocked. yes, i know you don't have that many copies. do it anyway.
3: add random crap to the deck until you don't have any slugs.

you will never see slugs, bcause there aren't any. you will never see the random crap, because it doesn't have anywhere to go. you will still have to wait for the skill you want to be drawn, because all that random crap is actually being drawn, even if it's not being displayed.
