Soltown Trainer Bugged

• Details: Soltown Trainer at first seems AWOL. But then standing at that place, he appears but has a jittery animation. He appeared and disappeared in place for me.
• Steps to Reproduce: Go to Soltown, visit trainer, see if he appears.

Made another starting character run today and tested this again. This time, the Soltown trainer dude is totally gone. The master ranger skill trainer is near but not helpful as he only trains ranged skills.

Also noticed that the beggar (I presume it is him) regularly turns the street light on and off here. Should he be doing this at such a prominent skill training location for new players?

 

Did you do the training at night perhaps? Was he totally gone or was he sleeping in one of the houses?

It seems that they have added schedules to the NPCs in Soltown, probably as one of the Soltown polishes. Come dusk the daytime NPCs vanish to their homes and the nighttime NPCs come out to play. So the people in the inn (like Emma the barmaid, maybe the bard, etc) sleep during the day and the trainers, erchants, and the quest dudes sleep at night. Not sure if the refugee camp is on scheduels or not. If you want to train, sell stuff, or do other interactions with those people you have to wait. Unfortunately the don't have special conversations specifically for their 'sleeping' times yet.

i guess it breaks newbs into the mechanic, but yea i started the game and had to wait for daytime to train my stuff, not much info was given to figure that out though as a new player.

 

Good point. But yes, I anticipated that and waited. He did not appear by day.
