Somebody in Mexico went to Elysium mines

This was at the Embarc hotel in Zihuatanejo. Roughly translated: Onyx is a cryptocristalline form of quartz. The colors vary from white to almost any color. Beige, white and maroon are the most common. White onyx is mainly found in Mexico, Pakistan and Iran. The white onyx is softer and in more abundance. Onyx is mostly used in jewelry but also in works of art, covers (not sure what covers specifically means there) and tiles. This piece weighs about 600 pounds and was carried down the stairs into the hotel by hand. It has maintained its natural state.

 

Cubierta might mean roof tiling in this context. The other tiling mentioned is specific for floor and walls.
