Somebody please - Where can I get Pristine Crocodile Heads?

I've been on most of the swamps and am having no luck. Anyone able to point me to a map please?

 

any croc has a chance to drop one. bigger ones are more likely to. it's just luck.

 

All the pristine heads have had their drop rate lowered a lot to make them rarer. So you will have to kill many crocs to get one or get really lucky.

I haven't seen a pristine anything drop since this release came out.

 

I realized I was missing the croc head mount this release. Took forever but I finally got one, so they still drop. I did the swamps by the shuttered eye, eventually settling on the one that had the most bandits so I could get some gold while I waited for the drop.

 

Yup, Pristine anything heads drop very rarely nowadays. Been farming 6 hours straight and only dropped 1 Pristine Elder Wolf head. Last time, I would get at least 10 lol.

 

there is supposedly a boss croc out there....or i should say a NAMED croc...but i have no idea where to hunt him down. I have the recipe to mount his head on a plaque but cant find him yet. And i cant find the recipe for mounting a spider either.

 

To my knowledge, there is no recipe to mount a spider. If you're referring to the "Pristine Spider Leg"s those are used for the spider leg cloak

You got a pristine head? I was wondering if it was a bug and that no heads were dropping. I've not had a Pristine head drop this release and was wondering if it was bugged. I've skinned a lot of bears and wolves (as did my guildmates) and not one pristine head dropped. Si I guess it's a lot rarer now...

 

Field dressing has a role to play in it i belive,

 

I have killed over 200 Patriarch Bears and not a single pristine head.
Game just stopped making sense a long time ago.
You try to make some cool decorations for your house and it turns into a mind numbing stupid grind for absolutely no reason.
When you have over 20 bears roaming the same area and respawning in a minute, that to me is not a rare, it is just a ridiculous pointless drop rate.
Lets just put it in the " utter waste of time " basket that our bone armor pieces sit in.

I hung out at the North camps while waiting for crocodiles. North celestial wetlands. May be more in other swamps but of the 3 around soltown that seemed to be most productive.

 

Yeah I'm familiar with the names of areas up there, cuz a loooong time I used to grind there, but that was before persistence and I didn't know which had the most bandits. Thanks!

According to my Recipe book, both a Crocodile and a Large Crocodile are "mountable" .
Where are the Large crocs ?
