I was reading Richard’s interview and found this part interesting:

The new game will be, in part, funded by people staking claim to plots of land. It answers the age-old question: what if video games let you become a landlord? And for those with less money to spend: what if video games let you pay rent?

Wasn’t this the original plan behind Shroud of the Avatar?

Also, how would the NfT of owning a plot of land be different than me owning one in the current game. I made some decent coin off selling my location in a town. I guess I’m still naive to NFTs and how blockchain work but this doesn’t seem to be any different.

lastly, I just read Steam banned NFTs and crypto blockchains. As marketing was lacking in this game, I already see difficulties with a similar new game not having the steam traffic.

I am a sucker to try any game that will relive my UO days so I’ll probably be here day 1. So far Albion Online has been the closest I’ve come.

    Hope all is well,

    Humbert
