So, I've been transposing some (Accordion)music. I have it down pretty decently, and the program I downloaded plays it perfectly. However, when I bring it into SOTA, my Accordion is only playing the Treble staff, and not the bass.

I'm using this to denote the two clefs

    %%staves (1) (2)
    V1: (This is my treble)
    V2: (This is my bass)

Should I be using a different configuration? Or is this just a limitation with the game that will require me to place it all on one staff?

Place it all in one staff. I'm encountering the same problems with MML pieces containing the channel command. Only one gets played.

How do you configure for different note lengths on a staff? My bass wants to play a whole note through the bar, but I have quarter/half notes on the treble side. If I try to combine them, it plays the whole note first, then goes to the quarters.

    |[C4D]EFG| will be played as Whole note C and D with EFG quarter notes after... The only way I can get them to work at the same time is to put them on seperate staffs

Apparently I was wrong. The MML/ABC library created by @Eniko does have multitrack capability. Here's her original post in that module which was incorporated into the SOTA codebase fairly early on.
