SotA - From "suck" to "awesome"

    Hi!

    When I pledged, I was bitten by the idea of another chapter of the Avatar and Ultima series. I tried it well over a year ago, and much has changed. I was less impressed then than I am now. The trouble is, the introduction media to the game is very .. VERY ... VERRRY outdated, and doesn't reflect how enjoyable is now, and how great it's gonna be. So, I have one simple ... request? No, I'm too desperate in my wishes to use the word 'request' alone. I need to add "begging" to it. it must read "I am begging you to release a new trailer for the game." It could easily be better based solely on the current release looking and running so much better.

    I repeat, please release a new trailer. The old trailer, while it was good, doesn't do the game justice ... it just doesn't.

    Or, hold a competition for a new fan made trailer? 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes?

    The old trailer doesn't do the game justice, that is true. But the new user experience of the game is currently very bad because of the incomplete Paths of Courage and Truth. Although the tips try to explain to the player that he needs to continue on to Soltown, it is all very confusing. Might it be a better long-term strategy to attract new players with an updated trailer when the game offers a better new-user experience?

    It WILL all get done in time. (Well, the vast majority of it anyway)....
    But the quests and storylines will no doubt be among the stuff that DOES get done. ;)

    The game is better off without too much publicity until the starter quests are all finalized and perfect. For now enjoy our little secret and prepare for the mad rush when the masses find out about this gem of a game.

    Anyone who doesn't fall in love with Brittany even at this early stage doesn't like MMOs.
