Some thoughts on spec'ing and combat.

Not all cards feel 'right' being dealt in a random way - more organization for ability types. For example Mind Wipe seems like it would be suited to be available in a 'more immediate way', perhaps a second stack of reserve cards?
Or Engage Opponent this would seem suited to the movement mechanics because of the fact that you need a opponent to activate it.
There could even be a small 'tutorial' about that when you first discover that ability.
Some abilities don't entirely seem enticing when you need it in order to get the next ability in the path. But sometimes it does make sense.
I like the advanced training now, hopefully managing your trainer will be something you need to revisit?

Don't like the generic feeling of Gold related costs and that Gold hasn't been normalized or finalized yet.

Some cards are dealt when there is a incorrect opponent type and when they cast they are useless? I think abilities need to either a) fire correctly while still being able to disrupt etc.. b) be discarded by the player.

Don't be dismayed as yet. A lot of new improvements will be forthcoming, as our Dev's are working triple time. It just feels generic because we are still within the alpha phase. When all is said and done, it will all be worth the wait and patience . This is going to be a new way to develop games in the future and we are fortunate to be on board for the ride. :):)
