Starcitizen crossfunding?

I remember that if you funded starcitizen and SotA you were supposed to get some special weapons or something. Does anyone know how to link accounts or prove this to receive the items?

 

I haven't seen it yet... but I haven't looked either...

There isn't a way that I know of. I've looked but I haven't looked all that well.

 

The two companies were supposed to share email lists of backers so they could determine who was entitled to the cross-promotion rewards.

 

If your Star Citizen and SotA Kickstarter email addresses are the same, and linked, you should start off in SotA with a Vanduul Polearm and Vanduul Crossbow.
That is if your pledge was high enough during the correct pledge time frame.
I can't remember what you'd get in Star Citizen, but they are advanced starter weapons.
Doesn't effect gameplay much, and should be seen as "rares".

I got a Vanduul Polearm for supporting both

 

Everyone in SotA gets the Vanduul Polearm if they have the immortal adventurer tier included in their rewards (now an expired tier).


It is only Star Citizen backers that needed to back both games to get their crossbow.

 

I vaguely remember that if you pledged to both, the polearm would get some additional cosmetic effect - glowing runes or the like?
(I have my polearm but didn't bother with SC, preferring to obsess over 1 game at a time)

 

You may be confused by the Underworld Ascendant cross-promotion. For that game, there is an add-on shield you can buy in each game. If you own the shield in both it will glow.

 

Its a good OP question. The Star Citizen cross-over remains a point of confusion on the SC boards. Zero communication on it from Chris Robert's team, despite the great efforts they make at communication otherwise. In my view, they have been dropping the ball on this. However, the entire Star Marine segment of the game now seems lost in limbo as the subcontracted development firm was let go and development focus has shifted elsewhere. Hopefully this resolves itself and we will hear something.

This is probably a topic that should be moderated to the other games discussion boards here.

 

Ilfonic did such a poor job that I think RSI is basically re-doing all the work for Star Marine from scratch. It is still coming, but it is late. Chris Roberts is a perfectionist and he routinely scraps and recreates things.
