Steam Achievements appear to be broken

    All the achievements were reset, now I see no updates for anything I've done today (e.g. I'm still at 4/10 creatures killed).

    However, a wider question: is the plan that achievements will always work like this, i.e. that if the character that got the achievement is deleted the achievement is deleted too? Or, after release, will they work like for other games?
