Pre-Alpha Release 2 is about to finish and I think it's time to start thinking about the not-so-obvious suggestions and improvements.

One of the most important ones that come to my mind is the necessity to change the camera position to an over-the-shoulder one. It's an standard feature in most modern RPGs and for a good reason: you don't need to move the camera for inspecting what it is exactly in front of you and makes the combat more fun and inmersive, also.

    What do you think?

Agreed. Moving around inside buildings (especially mostly empty ones like sample houses) is PAINFUL in r2. I find myself getting lost trying to find the door back out. Must have been too many ales at Fire Lotus's Tavern...

The best solution is not to force anyone, thus I would suggest pre-set camera modes with all modes available to the player:

    - over ths shoulder
    - Isometric
    - free form (as is now)

While I don't mind lots of options in theory; camera, moment, and combat are all very tightly related. Giving people more options in one area may totally box in how the others work.

I prefer toggle between first person and over the shoulder (these are basically the same for camera and movement). Mouse targets and rotates. W is forward to what I see, A and D strafe. The issue with this is the mouse is occupied on the screen and I can't be clicking skills with the mouse while also retaining my target. So while it's powerful, controls need to be really intuitive.

Just a good zoom facility would suffice.
