So I've noticed that the direction of our store seems... a little vague to say the least. To be blunt, many items seem priced in a manner which may not give the best impression - too many individual 'common' items for sale.

A better approach IMHO is one that re-focuses on tiers of your support. Back to the idea of original Kickstarter goals where tiers would contain more whole encompasing rewards. If players are to pay such huge prices to invest in Homes, or Lots, or towns.. Certain 'common' items should automatically belong to them including certain future items. I don't believe in double billing players who have already spent (much more) than what average account spenders spend.
Special items non-inclusive, or other special category of items.
Reduce the amount of masks, furniture for sale as 'regular' items in the shop, players can already sell most of them themselves in game as included in bundles.
Probably the most ideal tier to expect of players to spend is around $100-$500, with the Dev+ access being a more viable reason to access, greater control of game systems like bank, house templates, PoT design stuff, Quest makers, NPC dialog maker... All these things play into the idea of players being more responsible for content to explore and also play...
