Tab Targeting Gone?

When I hit the "g" key now... errr... nothing happens at all.

Is it just me, or is there some secret to making it work now?
Have the devs completely removed tab targeting... are they just fiddling with it... is there some other problem???

Ya know, I've never played any game, ever, that didn't have some kind of tab targeting.
Would be very odd if it's gone.

Please tell me it's just some kind of terrible user error... and I'm just stupid.

There is already a bug report. In the moment the target switching only works on weapon range. It's already in investigation

I remember the devs saying they were going to make some changes to it...
I'd hoped that "disappearing" it wasn't the change, lol.

 

We went to a reticle targeting system which made healing a pain. When I want to cash spells on myself to go to my pet instead.

 

Cast on yourself by holding down the left alt key and then click the spell. Problem is casting heals on someone else.

 

I have to resort to shift click, but still a pain when in group of 4+ friendly targets.

The hotkey for switch target is still mapped to G, though.

 

hold alt when casting is always a good way to be sure to cast on self. I also press F1 often to keep the focus on me for a longer duration (if I have the agro and my pet is safe). ... But yes, if you try to cast out of the sudden it's annoying sometimes

how comes i had to install a 500mb+ patch today and this is not fixed?

but i see how "Fixed NPC kneeling emotes" has a higher priority...

 

Call it wrong priorities maybe ...

 

shift-click FTW. Next target rotates within 'range' boon for the Archers.

 

We have had these targeting issues with heals for months since they put in the reticle system.

I'm not sure they've decided how they want to tweak it yet or they have decided this is how they want it to work.

 

im not talking about healing... im eg talking about tower of the shuttered eye when all mobs swarm down... its impossible without next target to pick the archers in the backrow that are crippling you, while you dont have care about the 3 frontline footsoldiers at all.
