A nice source of funds for Port and tamers would be "pet" tricks. Something like emotes for pets, eg roll over, beg , shake a paw. Perhaps not all pets at first just dogs, wolves etc.

These emotes could be bought at add-on store and high-level tamers could then teach (sell) these tricks to players.

Later on, Port could add armor and jewelry (cosmetic) etc. People spend a fortune on pets why not in the game. Pet decoration/emotes would be unique to this game and add some fun.

Interesting idea! What would you pay for a cool pet trick?

Pet decoration was/is a big deal in some UO free shard, players wold be willing pay for pet dyes and such to make their pet unique to themselves.

I wouldn't mind seeing ornate pet armors and some other cool "pet deco" (assuming there will be craftable versions as well). However, selling emotes on add-ons store seems like making the pets incomplete, though.. (unless the emote is like pet going super saiyan mode and such)

I'd pay about half the purchase price for a "fetch" animation for my wolf.

If they throw in a pink poodle , I would pay half price. I need it to go with my Shooter Jennings Album picture. :p:p:p

I'm loathe to support an idea for more microtransactions unless there's a great reason for it - in a game like SotA, it feels like pet emotes, if implemented, should come with taming somehow rather than be paid for with real money. It might be a different story if there was a way to obtain them in the game as well (but learnable from people who have already paid for it doesn't cut it).

perhaps much, much, later on but now lets work on pets actually working like pets, following commands, viable trainin system not this weak one collar tame all, and ay player can have a pet without taming. Those two need much work and if not fixed will make pets a joke, and an insult to tamers.

I assumed this goes without saying, but without dev feedback, maybe not?

I'm just happy my clockwork dog is following to my side now instead of right behind me! Very nice!
