Target Reticle Missing

The little red circle that appears on your target so you know who your target is, is not showing for me. I have the enemy targeted though as I can see their health bar next to mine, however, when that enemy comes to me to attack with melee my character is not responding. I just stand there getting hit.

I always use first person view and I think this is the reason I have issues like this. Because I switched to 3rd person and saw that my weapons were not even showing even though I was in a "weapon drawn" state. As soon as I cast a spell my weapon appeared in my hands and combat proceeded as normal.

I believe first person view is seriously bugged in relation to combat. Is 3rd person view the focus for this game? I personally hate 3rd person view. I only use it if I have no other choice. But honestly, if this game forced you to use 3rd person I would want a refund, because I cant stand 3rd person view in game like this.
