1. We have a dedicated Player Test Environment on our QA server available for player use. This server will be kept open with periodic database resets, when we will copy the database from the live server. The server database will be updated at least twice a month during a scheduled maintenance window.

    Though players are welcome to use the QA server to experiment or test anything they wish, we will post patch notes and testing directives in this area. Players testing new content, features and systems will greatly help in reducing post release bugs and making the game better.

    To assist players in helping us make the game better, the Test Server will award login bonuses in CotOs and Gold coins to allow players to purchase resources or anything they may need to test from the Crown Store and/or from the in game vendors. In Addition, the Developers will announce dates/times when Dev Assisted Player Test Events will occur on the QA Server.

    Please use the Test Environment Bug and Feedback forums for QA Server activities only.

    You can help test by downloading a new SotA Launcher(QA) installer to download a separate QA copy of the game. It exists independently from the regular live version of the game and installs to a separate folder. To use the Player Test Environment, please download the QA Server client here:

Testing Directive: Player Dungeon/Basement fix and Heritage Removal

    Please note that 1394 is *not* a Unity 2021 build. The team will continue working on Unity 2021 after the items in this directive have been published on the live server.

    A QA patch has just been released which requires player testing. There are some known issues, one of which is the Governor missing from two POTs. We are continuing to work on correcting this issue.

    The other is that Heritage has been deactivated for new items purchased in the Crown Store, while already existing Heritage items in player possession are still not tradeable. We are working to do a Data Migration tomorrow morning (Chris or I will update when this is complete ON the QA server). We will want to get as many players testing on QA prior to publishing these and the below changes on the Live Game Server.

    Changes Requiring Player testing:

    * Heritage:
    Ensure that Heritage Items (any item in the Crown Store valued over 1000 COTOS) can be purchased and traded freely. Please NOTE: All items currently have the Heritage icon on them, though it's presence does not have an impact on the item being tradeable (mousing over the item will show if the item is in fact no trade). The heritage icons will be removed after the Data Migration/next QA build.

    * Player Dungeon and Basement bug fix:
    An issue has been addressed regarding orphaned items in Player Dungeons. So, if you have items that had gone missing in your player dungeon or basement they will be returned. This specifically fixes issues where items are placed outside of connected dungeon rooms (typically occurs when rooms become disconnected).

    - A note will appear in the chat window for each item that has been recovered
    - Affected items in Player dungeons will appear in your inventory
    - Affected items in Basements will appear in your bank.

    If everything is stable, then we will schedule a live patch and a Data Migration on the Live Server (Data Migrations require Server downtime)
