Magnus arrived at The Tower of High Sorcery in Serenite in a foul mood. The Kobolds at the Expeditionary Camp had become quite adept as of late, forcing Magnus to engage them in smaller groups. Some had realized that throwing sheer numbers at him simply gave him the ammunition he needed to wipe all of them out. They were more cautious now, and attempted to simply wear Magnus down. At this rate, Magnus figured he would not attain the levels of power needed to continue his experiments for many more years.

Wanting to take his mind off things, Magnus walked up the stairs of The Tower and sat down at the center table located in the library. While scanning the table, he noticed a parchment sealed with the symbol of @Vox Aquila. As he began to read the note his eyes widened. "Interesting," Magnus whispered to himself. He looked over the note once more...

"This is likely to cause a stir..." Magnus whispered. He wondered if Vox Aquila understood the implications of the note. For that matter, as Magnus pondered the situation in his mind, what trouble could this bring to @Vrunk Hrrk? He had befriended Vrunk as of late, and worried what might happen to him should he decide to proceed with this matter.

After reading the note a third time, Magnus looked around for something to write with. He fumbled around the papers on the table looking for a quill. When he found one he pulled a jar of ink closer, dipped the quill, and proceeded to scribble on the parchment.

This is what he wrote: "Is a Kobold considered a person, such that they have standing to sue other citizens of New Britannia?"

And with that, Magnus rolled up the parchment and ascended the stairs of The Tower to gather some of his belongings. Later that afternoon, Magnus left The Tower and Serenite, made his way to the Hidden Vale and eventually toward Khali.

Magnus was determined to help his friend, Vrunk. And he knew that tonight Vrunk would be hosting his weekly Fish Market in the central Khali marketplace at 11:00 p.m. New Britannia Time.
