The light is less bright and it's super annoying to mine now please fix immediately

    I basically run it on muscle memory at this point.

    Also i died like a noob , forgot how damn dark and annoying the mine is when dead.
    must suck for new people

    @zeme, @MrBlight, @Fionwyn Wyldemane, in Game Options, under Video, do you have "Use Camera Effects" checked and Brightness at a higher setting? This should help.

    I do. The thing is, it doesn't change the fact that my tiny ball of light is like a dying star and gives off less light in dark places. RIP tiny ball of light.

    My brightness is always at max and camera effects has always been checked - but I have definitely noticed a change in the lighting level this release. Not annoying for me though - a little more realistic - but I understand people's frustration about it.

    Considering it seems like it is night 18 hours of the game day and you cannot see on a dark night two steps beyond, its a pita. Depending on positioning in game, it can go for absolute blackness to some shadowy outlines.

    I figured they adjusted the light to make the miners helmet more attractive and then forgot to include it in the rewards...
