The Long Wait ? Idea [!!]

Contests, contests, contests! Fans, fans, fans! Input, input, input! Make the waiting time go by faster as we long to enter New Britannia! Give the community official purpose! Don't let it be a long Summer and Fall. Don't let it be an anxious year of ticking off the time until we can all adventure. Give us more specifics for contest entries and deadlines and winners, SOTA Team! Thanks!

 

@Fireangel - Great point! I've been keeping an eye out for contests but haven't seen any. I also think it would be a good way to keep the community active (and sane) through the summer/fall.

 

Go outside lol. The gfxs are great but the content sucks.

 

Grace, *laughs* true, and I do that! I do P90X, run [outside], dance, lots of physical stuff. But that doesn't give me much reason to come to this site, to the livestreams, or to the chat! A person can get tired of that if they're not participating, or don't have much reason to interact personally. Contests of all sorts would help the fan base, and to gather more people into the adventure.

 

I was out of town and missed the previous contest. I'd like to see a few more.

 

Hey I have an idea... why don't we come up with our own contests? When they migrate these forums to the new host there is an option to create polls. We could make our own contests and vote on them as a community. Then we don't have to hand more workload to the SotA devs... and they might just enjoy seeing what we come up with.

Anybody like that idea?

 

I like that idea, Isaiah. Maybe they might even get noticed.

 

Since SotA will have a performance area, I suggest perhaps for the first fan-run contest that we channel our inner bards and come up with a sonnet.

Even if the forums don't have polls now, we can make a SurveyMonkey poll or something like that and link to it.
