Seeing the "How will naming your avatar work" thread pop up made me think of a similar question:

Will you use a real name, a descriptive, or a hybrid?

I will probably put letters together until it sounds like a name. Or I will use a name that is so foreign, or fantasy inspired, that it will for most anglophones seem unfamiliar, but still sound like a name. Most likely I will use one of those names I have used before, because I am lazy and not as inventive as I was 20 years ago :p.

And if you choose 'other' I'd love to hear what it is or an example of it....

Nothing quite labels you as an outworlder than some bizarre name.

It depends on how names are setup. If we can use a single name, I may not use a typical name. If names all have surnames, I may have a different name.

That would be a hybrid name - YOU FAIL AT POLL!

In game I'm usually looking for a descriptive name to the type of character I am.
Like in UO a thief I made was named Funny Money, not that I ever used him much.
With one character this might make it tough.

Two examples: Sei Danéic and Aschan Shiagon. Now don't go and steal those names, haven't found anyone else using them anywhere and I want to keep it that way ;)
Other than that I use uncommon real world names like Wylla, Adhan, Isa etc. I also sometimes use my daughters name if I play a female character: Arya.
