The One Thing I Like Best about SoTA

The one thing (beside many other) I like most in SOTA is:

The skill system

 

The one thing I like most in SOTA is: As a healer I can stand against a wall and watch you empty your entire focus bar trying to kill me and then walk away.

 

No icons above NPC's heads or on the map telling me where to go "next".

 

LOL andar, you do not lie. Ummm, I have a hard time choosing what I like best, so I am just going to say what I like. Deck system, kinda lets me use my MTG deck building skills. Having to actually listen and respond to npcs, I never played any ultima games so this was new to me, and I love it. Not having to choose a class, only played one game like that. Devs actually responding, this is completely new to me.

 

It can be addictive, especially the crafting. Looking forward to materials expansion....more fish, woods and ores

 

The one thing I like best in SoTA is the sandbox aspect itself. You get your shovel, pail and some water then the fun begins

Yet there are plenty if wrong ways to do it, usually ending in skill decay.

Another thing I like is how the Forums and telethons are used for conceptual building designs that might later make it to the game. There's already a handful of aspects added to the game due to player ideas, major changes or life improvements. Had mentioned myself about how the Kobold buildings back "fake windows" wouldn't look that great for the reskinned golden seed invest house and was pleased to see it changed with R45.

 

Indeed but I think the possibility to do something "wrong" is good too. Like in RL we have to do failures to learn out of them that we able to do it next time better.

 

I love that there's so much to do that I can't even approach doing it all. We've recently had a circus, there's a concert today (and Sunday @Tristano Visconti ?) I spent all week working on a mail order catalog that I'm no distributing all over Novia (PM me if you want a free copy,) set up the new home, maybe will be at an Auction on Sunday, thinking about how to do Murder Mysteries, there's so much to do there's no way to do it all.

 

Community. Great bunch of people play this game. Some have moved on but I suspect that they will return. Housing is a distant 2nd.
