    If that was true, any pet would be the same, different tiers of pets would be useless wouldn't it? Or is this something being French makes me misunderstand?

    Are you sure? So why would the animals need different levels of skill to tame? I am pretty sure one of the new polar bears (can't remember what they are called) will be stronger than a lower tiered one from an episode 1 zone should I summon them with the same skill. More hit points, DPS etc. Higher tiered animals are inherently stronger stat wise and your skills increase that.

    I was probably not very clear. Essentially all pets are statless and their power only comes from your skills. With this it would be cool to maybe be able to specialise in a species of pet like bears, wolves etc for extra bonuses? Maybe if you are a bear whisperer you lose something in the other animal categories. Sorry just chucking stuff against the wall now. :)

    That statement could be construed to mean "...power of any given pet is..." Which is to say, he doesn't mean that the only difference between a squirrel and an obsidian destroyer owned by the same tamer is the 3D asset, but that the difference between my obsidian destroyer and your obsidian destroyer is our respective taming levels. I'm not certain that is what he meant, but it is a possible clarification.

    The main reason that they developed level caps is for episode 2 story scenes. ;)

    @Cora Cuz'avich is correct.
    When I said "The power of any pet is entirely dependent on the taming level of the tamer", what I should have said was my croc will have more hp's and do more dmg than your croc IF my taming skills are higher than yours. I was referring to the same animal pet (in my example a Spawn of Sobek) used by tamers with different skill levels.

    I've given my 2nd account's main char, just enough Taming skills to be able to summon and use a croc - and took pics of that croc's stats. See Spoiler below:

    Now, here's that same pet (Spawn of Sobek croc) when held by a high-level tamer in the spoiler below:

    There is a huge difference in the "power" (HP's and stats) between a Spawn of Sobek when held by a novice (barely able to summon/control) tamer VS an expert tamer.

    I hope this explains what I meant when I said: "The power of any pet is entirely dependent on the taming level of the tamer".

    P.S. Also very important is whether or not the tamer is using tamer gear, which also greatly effects the overall "power" of any given pet !!!

    Bottom line: Any given pet of the same type is WAY MORE POWERFUL when held by a tamer that has high taming skills (plus the Spec) than that same pet in the hands of a novice tamer that hasn't invested in the entire taming tree and/or not using the taming arti gear we can collect.
