Three Weeks, and a day ---well first 15 min this morning

That is how long the current journey of mine in offline mode took. 200+ (stopped counting at 100 or so) yellow bags, and a million bodies later, my first yellow bag today finally gives me the recipe I started looking for in the first few days of starting playing. Sure learned a lot along the way though.

Now, I need a new goal.

Not to mention I did finally get 15 min of actual online play....heh.

No. Not everything should be easy to acquire, like some theme park concession.

 

Offline mode, you can't just go look through vendors to find it.

I hope you enjoy online mode as well. Recipes are easier to find with a little help from other avatars if not pricey.

In offline mode that sort of RNG is horrible. And now I re-read the OP more carefully.

 

Can you explain what this means? I assumed that loot drops in offline were the same as in online with just a higher probability of getting something, resulting in more loot.

In any case I find it very frustrating to have to rely on loot drops to obtain certain recipes in the offline game. In the online game I can easily obtain these from other players.

 

There is no way Online play has anywhere near the same drop rates and / or tables as offline. . . . In these three weeks, just my acquisition of COTO's alone would have to prove that (just around 100 of each flavor I have looted.)

It seemed like the li'l bit of online I did, the resource nodes were at least half that of what I was getting in offline, and the mob loots were mebbe a quarter of what I was seeing offline.

On another side note, I still think Im missing like 3 recipe's from the yellows, and have at least a dozen of every artifact in the yellow table....

After buying a castle tax free lot, and scouring the continent and not finding a single home in that size for sale, I have decided I will craft me a log cabin, and put it on a castle lot for kicks with some giant cash store statue....

 

I think @squishi answered it well, I was saying I am not sure crafting in offline should be based on getting the drop....

On the other hand, what squishi just said makes me question my own question. If it's coming pretty fast, maybe that's ok?
