    Not speculation . . .

Why is this pass in the Southern area of Novia, that contain only two Plain Mountain Trolls, who are not leashed together to make it really challenging Tier 10.

Resources in here are easy picking but also not many at all.

Only a bear or two in areas one can easily walk around.

Two Trolls need to be on the bridge more - unavoidable - and work together - not just wandering around past the end of the bridges.

This is hardly a tier 4.

and also a complete bypass of control points, but those are another issue all by themselves.

Oh if oyu want you can just run by them, sure take a few hits and stomps but ????

Because the Trolls them selves are Tier 10 ..... pretty simple imho..... just means they are the same level as most of the stuff in The Rise

Seems fairly straight forward to me. An alternate path between areas that can be traversed through by brains of brawn. It is the first instance of them making a specialized random encounter area. The alternate path started as a novia map glitch, but due to its trade route status became a thing. It has been around for now 5ish releases. Probably a precursor to dragon and demon random encounters. They are doing a Novia refinement pass. There is a possibility that things like this will pop up elsewhere.

What's amusing is that originally it was listed as "Tier 2". I filed a bug on that, and in patch 683, they changed it to Tier 10. I had suggested 6 or 7. ;)

They should improve the AI on the world map

You can sneak behind them now to some extent and it's rather fun / makes sense.

Don't tier ratings only refer to the challenge rating of the bad guys if you attempt to fight them?

I can barely take on a tier 3, but I know if I go into a tier 5 area that there's a chance I can run around everything.

Nope... Basically "5 skull" means tier 5+.
