Tool tip carry over from inventory screen

I have noticed that if you have an item highlighted by your cursor the description remains if you close the window with the escape key. even after the window is closed the description remains and hovers with your cursor. Re-opening the inventory and moving the cursor out of the field removes it and closing it removes the issue, however it is still an inconvenience...
