Travel Speed

    Love the current speed of travel across the overland map in R17. Just about right. :)

    Also love that there are fewer random encounters. While I always ran away from these out of boredom and frustration in past releases, they now occur much less often, so I stay and fight.

    Travel speed is quirky: sometimes (usually right after login), it's quite unimpeded, i.e. you can go through forests and swamps without being slowed.

    Other times, it's painfully slow, and frustrating. I find that relogging gets my speed back.

    I guess it's another byproduct of staggered loading.

    Oh, and I find myself stopping at RE too.
