Trout fillets?

I've just recently started fishing and I'm catching buckets of trout. I think I've caught one salmon.
I have the recipe for salmon fillets but can't locate the recipe for trout fillets. I've checked several towns and no luck. I've been selling the trout and buying salmon to make baked salmon. I'd like to make some baked trout. I prefer trout to salmon anyway.

So does anyone know where this illusive trout fillet recipe is located?

 

you may not need to buy one. try the salmon fillet recipe, only with a trout.

 

That's what I initially tried to do. I figured it's basically the same recipe as the salmon fillet so I could "discover" it. I must have sat there for 10 minutes and couldn't get it to work. I thought I read a post from someone that said recipe discovery was taken out and you needed to purchase recipes. I looked online for a video guide so I could see someone "discover" a recipe but there all so old that they're not relevant anymore.

 

it was taken out for higher end ones. i'm suprised that one counts. what's your name in game? it's teachable

Alley - I tried trading with my wife last night and it was glitched but ended up working later on in the evening.
I happen to catch a bass while fishing and decided to try and discover bass fillet recipe and it worked! So I tried with the trout as well and it worked!!!
So I'm assuming they changed something in this release and I'm able to discover recipes!

In Ardoris, and elsewhere, I find trout in the hotspots (ripples). Bass and Salmon in other waters.

You can also "salvage" all those cloth/leather items you fish up at the tailoring table. Drag them to the ingredient window then hit the "salvage" button. It's a great way to level tailoring.
