    Dear All
In testing out a good bit of gameplay capture software, I developed an enthusiasm for recording games with their interface switched off - what a difference it makes!

With practice and the Naga programmed-up this is easily doable.

I thought I would set up a channel for my "MMOs without the Interface " - have a look and see what you think:

This channel is then a repository for all gaming videos I make, and the intention was to do some Shroud of the Avatar ones. Should be fun I think.

There is one snag at the moment with recording action in SOTA, and that is that combat skills won't fire without the interface on. Makes sense with a card system (because you need to see what you have), but for recording I was planning to have a skill-locked deck.

I will see if I can argue for this in the game features section. Bit of an obscure request though.

Not really... I support it and think it makes a lot of sense. If you're going to lock your cards why do you need to see them? Good luck! :)

I support that we should be able to turn off the interface of SotA.
The best interface a game ever had was Ultima 7 as there was no interface at all - and it worked and created the most immersive gaming experience ever.

Interfaces serve a purpose in that games are an imperfect simulation of real life, and keyboard and mouse are imperfect input devices compared with your own limbs.

Running without an interface just requires you to teach yourself a mental interface that does the same thing.

It's an option, but not one most people care for.

Which is a shame as it can work. Like I said Ultima 7 worked perfectly without an interface.

I think there is an option to toggle off the interface in SotA. I think I hit it by accident once, and had to look up the key command to toggle it back on.

I like the interface, myself, but options are good.

Yes, options would be great. So you could decide for yourself if and when you want to use it. For example while traveling you could turn it off to be immersed in the world and when you want to fight or do something that needs the interface, you turn it on.
