Unable to leave starter area (Mac client)

Everytime I try to leave starter area of Braemar I get stuck, scene flickers, screen goes black and I have to quit the game, delete the char and make new.

Challenge dungeon I can go in.

Edit: Another player told me although the screen flickers to hold down the W key for a while and it works !!! Now I can go to other cities.

Same thing happening to me. Never happened before. When trying to leave a scene the screen and avatar flicker and jump.

 

Yeah sadly the Mac version is still as unstable as Wee Jock McJock the Unstable, winner of the 2012 annual Scottish National Ferret Worrying Competition.

My Mac client connects intermittently and somehow manages to also shutdown MicroSoft Lync. Which given that I use Lync for work, I'm willing to see as an advantage of using the SotA Mac client.

Honestly though...if this Mac client were a horse...I'd shoot it...it would be the kindest thing to do.
