We need more limits on stacking decorations

As it stands now, it is too easy to stack everything on top of everything else when decorating your player lot. Nobody wants to live next to this guy:



Perhaps it's possible to put a flag on certain items that nothing can be stacked on top of that item?

 

If you light that Menorah at the top of the pile with your torch, you can count me in as being "that guy" who will live next door.

 

Funny, I was going to argue that we needed more things to stack with each other...hmmm

 

But it's fun stacking things.

 

Whilst I sure am sick of seeing those thrones of bone, tall cabinets just don't seem to stack any more. How else is one to get up to the 3rd level parapet on the tower village home? (A true story)

The multitude of stacked items adorning lawns throughout the land just seems to lead to increased lag

 

I plan on stacking shelves at least 4 high around my property so i can sunbathe nude in the backyard.

I had thought about this after looking at this persons house



I wondered if it would be possible to toggle items on peoples property invisible, in the same way that I can use the /visible command to make my 'avatar' invisible.
There are some of us that would rather not look at someones 'abstract artwork' plus toggling those items as invisible may help reduce lag. Thought this might be
a possible solution without stymieing someone else s desire to be creative. Don't know if its possible.
Just a thought.

I'm honored you've called my R5 lawn abstract art I thought of it as an abomination. I like your idea though.

 

Turning off player decoration visibility would be a good thing

 

This is something which has worried me a little bit since PA2. Doesn't feel right to walk through NewB when lawns are strewn with five dozen Christmas trees (or whatever). Granted, during these PreAs people have somewhat unlimited access to this junk....I mean..."decorations" so maybe once you have to shell out actual cash to get that second bone throne we wont see as much of it.

But if it gets out of hand, yea maybe a toggle to see it or not might be appropriate, the exception perhaps being their heraldic standard (if they have one).

 

perhaps consideration should be made on the item's properties such as the material where you couldn't end up with massive stone heads stacked on a bone throne etc..

But I do agree, that's rather odd and physically wouldn't make sense.
