    Hail !
Im just a few days old in SotA and am getting to know how it works. Im a warrior and like to take care of my "tools". I looked for a couple hours searching the forums about weaponry craft, maintenance and use. Ok so Im a slow reader, but...Alas, one thing I couldnt see very clearly was this specific detail on durability. I found only one clearly stated sentence on whether durability runs out or not so I wanted make it clear. Currently if you use repair kits 'at a blacksmith station' it is possible to build up the DURABILITY on an item with repair KITS. It is also possible to repair in the field, just drag and drop a repair kit on the item, but you cant repair durability in the field.
So do not fear, that item you made or obtained as a drop and is quite valuable to you IS maintainable! Durability will not run out if you take care of it!
    Rest at ease and...
    Happy hunting.

Can you be more specific? what is the exact process? do you use the seemingly inoperable button labeled "repair" while in the tables crafting interface? do you simply stand near said station? do you add the kit to the list of things on the table? is there some repair(non-kit) recipe?

@Thalia Put the item on the correct crafting station repair kit and the tool used to create that item. Click the repair button. EX leather armor tailoring table, scissors, repair kit. Sword Blacksmithing table, Blacksmithing hammer repair kit.

When an item is Damaged, there are 2 Numbers Like This : 67/87

Those are minimum and maximum Durability.

The minimum Can be repaired Simply by dragging the appropriate repair kit onto the item, the maximum Durability Can only be repaired at a crafting station.

Say you Had a Damaged Sword, Take it to a blacksmithing Station, Make sure your hammer is equipped, Drag the sword into the box, and Add 1 repair kit Relevant to the item.

Then the Repair box will light Up, Click that and Voila, the max durability is Repaired, you may have to do this process several times To Fully repair :)

    - 1 Handed Swords, 2 Handed Swords, Shields, Heavy Armour = Blacksmithing Station
-Bows, Wands, 1 handed Bludgeon, 2 handed Bludgeon, Polearms, = Carpentry Station
    - light Armour, And Most Clothing (Except Heavy Armour is Tailoring Station :)

    There's two types of repair.
One you can do anywhere, and it's done by simply dragging a repair kit on to the damaged item. This does NOT repair max durability.

The second requires a crafting station, a crafting tool, the damaged item, and a repair kit, like so:

You'll note the "Repair" button left of the "Craft" button is highlighted in blue. Pressing that will repair max durability.
