What can and can't be pickpocketed?

R25 Instructions (PvP and Ransoms):
Quest items, pledge rewards and purchased items from the Add-On, Stretch Goal and Make a Difference Stores cannot be ransomed

Seems to contradict instructions:

What can be pickpocketed:
Virtue Nomad Hat (quest item)

What can't be pickpocketed:
Mugs/candles stolen from taverns
Rusty Dagger picked up
Great Axe picked up
Starting items: clothes, (non-pledge? regular) gathering tools, torch, books (not equipped)
Starting books (Issues, Events, Guide)
Some non-starting books (Don't give up your goodness, This Mistaken Idea)

 

@Balec Fares deCani Bug entered. believe the major issue here is the Virtue Nomad Hat. I'll add the other just in case it wasn't adjusted either. The other items I believe are by design as 0-value items.

 

@Attenwood So 0-value items cant be pickpocketed, can they be lost to the oracle on your grave? I'll stop carrying around anything w/zero value if that's the case, I carried certain things in hopes that's what they would get off my body. Back to 200 ten stacks of obsidian chips it is.

 

I was doing the same thing, but apparently this just slows you down and doesn't help lol. 0 value items (including body parts) are not available for death ransom.

 

Just a note here.
It used to be that the Ransom system when you killed players in PvP would include 0-value items. That lead some enterprising individuals to fill their packs with low weight 0-value stuff, usually books since they are easy to come by, so that their ransom would be low.
In R25 I suddenly noticed that 0-value stuff was no longer included in the ransom system at all, so it seems that they removed them completely. Which now then creates another tier of possibilities for enterprising individuals.

I guess this spills over to the PickPocket system.
