Item Viewer: Show equippable models, not deco models, for equipment (stretch goal - show item equipped on your paper doll)

Do we currently have 2 different versions of the model?

well, yes. think about the pieces of cloth clothing that lie flat when you set them down as deco: they're not flat on your character. in fact, there's two equippable versions: one for each sex.

...and then there's the inventory icon, which can be completely different.

So what exactly is this addressing? For testing purposes, what should I be looking at? Equipping items? Dragging items into the world to see if they are 3D?

On live, lets say you look at leather leggings. The 3D viewer will show you the leggings as they look when placed as deco, all squashed. The change is that the viewer should now show them as they would look if you were wearing them, standing up.

i think the bit you're missing is that the 3d item viewer is part of the crown store interface.

This feature should be in build 790, just published. It is currently only useable at the crown vendor, but it will be available in other places as well soon.

And what the description means is that many of the "deco models" are sort of slumped to the ground, like when you take your shirt off and drop it on the floor. This switches the crown store to instead show the models you see on your character when you equip them.

Got it. It's live in the crown merchant right now, although as I bugged, it defaults to cutting off the feet and top of head of tall avatars.

Other than that it looks great!
