I as well as others would like to know what the POTs intentions are here a little poll to gather a little data and see where we are at with them. Thank you all POT owners for your help and vote
My POT would be used for smoking. Smoking meat. I'd have a butcher and make bear brisket, dragon dogs, wolf wieners, etc. Lich lickin' good. But I have no POT.
I haven't bought a POT, but I do plan to earn one 'in-game'. (hopefully in single-player offline, we can still have our own POTs if we want too).. Anyhow, I've given it thought, and I'd make my 'town' one of two ways: 1. 84-556 row houses (depending on size of POT), built back to back so they are a maze to wind through, with me in the center of the maze somewhere (this would be great, because even with no one living in the row lots, they would all have houses on them, so they become a natural wall forcing any players to have to wind through the town the way I designed it). NPC houses would be randomly scattered throughout the maze, and the central square, would be in the true center of the maze town, with nothing there except the statue of Chaos (when we get one), and 8 directions, (representing the 8 directions of the chaos symbol of course) which each looks identical leading back into the maze of row houses. 2. Starting with one small cabin hidden away in a huge zone filled with trees or rocks or whatever town decoration items I'd have to decorate with. My house would be on a keep lot with no wall, so you can't see the lot boundaries, instead the cabin would appear to be hidden away in the scenery with no hint of the lot size, but has a 5 story keep-sized basement for my hording needs.. I'd fill this entire town with 8 castle lots, one keep lot, and 2 row lots. The 8 castle lots would be situated to represent the 8 virtues, in the shape of a circle of stones, (which traditionally has 8 stones), with the keep lot in their center, representing the shrine's altar, and the two row lots marking the proper entrance into the circle. When Castles are added to the game, they would slowly appear on each castle lot, each themed and devoted to one of the 8 virtues. The keep lot at the altar (with it's large basement) would focus on the infinite, while the two row lots, representing the paths to virtue, would represent order and chaos respectively.
I like thought #2 very historical to Richard id imagine very cool idea but it would cost a fortune for 8 castle lots but still very very cool idea
Connected Underworld of PoT Metropole Drachenfels. Half occupied by dodgy People and the other half for Events.
Mine will be the main base for our Guild to operate, but have plenty of space for others outside of the Guild as well to reside. Some of our Guild's primary functions are commerce, crafting, and trade, so these too will be a major purpose for our Crossroad Village. If we are able to be set up in our location of choice (fingers crossed), we are hoping it will be a major hub of trade and commerce in the game.
Hmm, Dragon's Rest sounds almost exactly like this. Barnabas, we may have to talk about our guilds working together to maximize our market penetration and gaming fun.
I am wanting my town to focus strongly in all aspects of commerce. I as of yet have no real guild affiliation. Thus so far it is more or less my major hub for trade, this does also mean we or I will have to go out and kill something epic to acquire some mats so some focus will have to be shifted to Training and finding a hunting crew preferably on the same time zone and town but that should still work. I am basing all my thoughts and expectations that this will be the great remake of Ultima though I know its not and cant be but none the less. LONG LIVE Richard HAIL HAIL
Agreed! Our Guild has recently been discussing looking for just such an arrangement! We shall look forward to our future meetings and diplomacy, Jivalax.
