    "Only" 45 myself, but I have brought my son in to SotA too, and I consider that a good thing!... And maybe kids like him can get more youngsters in once R1 opens...

    Suddenly I feel so much better at my age of dust. ~smiles~ I am currently 39 but am only a few foot falls from the door to that 4th decade. It was frightening me as most games I have played - I am the oldest and it feels awkward. Here, at present, among those of the same age with the same feelings. It does not feel so bad anymore.

    Anyone for pie?

    The reason there is an old crowd here is for two main reasons. Ultima Online which launched when the 20 year olds today were 3 years old. That crowd doesnt even know who Lord British is. Also roleplay is something that is sadly dying and the young crowd wants nothing to do with it. There are a few of us who have managed to pass that baton to the younger generation. It is a shame because roleplay is what actually gives allows these games to last longer. For example I have characters on NWN2 roleplay servers that I have had for 6 years. I still log on from time to time and sometimes I just go to the bar and chat it up and have some fun. Try asking someone that has played FPS games and maybe WoW to do that. They just won't understand....

    As for me I always try to relive the "good times" when all we had was paper, pen, some dice and our imaginations...

    I hear ya! My son likes role-playing, and that is probably partially because we've taken him along on ren/fantasy fairs from a young age (in appropriate clothing), and you can tell from the (in game!) interview he did with Lord British for a school career project... ;)

    49 years young here which is nothing, I've been in a kin with a man in his late eighties (Lotro). When I'm his age the wife will have traded me in for a virtual robot husband who obeys without question; and I'll be in a virtual world getting pumeled by 14 year-olds. Technology or dementia will make it happen.

    I almost selected 30-34 and then I realized "GAWD! the time has been running the past decade!" Well, 35 to 39 for me.

    Then again, looking at the amount of winters you others have seen I feel kinda young again! :cool:

    For reasons of posterity of course! I got my young granddaughter into UO recently and she loves to play! If it's ok with her parents I'll be buying her an SotA pledge as well - so watch that language! LOL
