Where are the Keep Lots Going to Be?

With the addition of Aerie and Resolute, there are now 2 new keep lots. Add the ones in Ardoris and Owl's Head for 5. There may be a smattering in other PRT's I haven't seen, and if someone has those numbers please share.

According to the statistics in March, there were 120+ dukes, now more probably.

So how in the world, with so few NPC towns left to add are there going to be enough keep lots?

Maybe Brittany will have 100?

This is extremely important considering the land rush will happen in July. I'm hoping a dev will clarify the plan.

 

I think it's starting to dawn on everyone how few lots there will be in the game located in NPC storyline towns.

My guess: Most people are going to end up in PRTs.

My assumption: Most people believe they have a chance at an NPC location when they likely don't (I put myself in this category).

 

My plan has all along been to set roots in Brittany, still haven't seen it though.. we can't see it yet can we?
really need to play more so I can even find my way there can't fail land rush because I'm a noob, that be bad..

I don't think so, as we have been promised to be able to place in a npc town. How they are going to do that is a good question as keep lots take up a lot of land. However I think we all are a bit nervous and hope it all be well on the day

If on the end keep lot owners can't place they will have to create more land for placement they can just leave you empty handed. It may take a while if it comes to that.Also they would not keep selling pledges they can't find land for

No. Sadly it is not. We have never been guaranteed placement in an NPC town. Rather, a guarantee that there will be enough space in the game for all lot owners to place in either an NPC or PRT. Though even when you add up all these lots there are no where near enough Keep or City lots in the game for all the Barons and Dukes which account for at least 200+ pledges. I have been ranting about this for months. Dukes have it much worse than Barons since there are at least 120+ Dukes and so few Keep lots even in the game. Whether that's NPC or PRT. Barons make up roughly 80+ pledges (going off of Dallas' May 2015 graph) and there are at least 30 City lots in game.

Port Mirren does have a bunch of Keep/City lots but those are Water lots and last time a checked a regular City or Keep deed wont work on those. Regardless, this is a big concern and one that I feel the Devs need to address.

 

I totally believe this. Portalarium has said it clearly and often (including the winter telethon).

The worry people are starting to have is that they may have no chance being in an NPC location.

I just hope they keep their word otherwise they would leave a lot of investers very angry and dissapointed.I just can't wait to get this over and done with, and I can truly start to enjoy the game. I really do.

 

They've only been saying that you will not be forced to place your lot in a PoT so far though? So technically, they would be keeping their word. But since Leostorm seems to be certain they'll be adding in more NPC towns, perhaps there is something to be looking forward to in the months coming.

I am sorry but all this whining about lots really needs to stop - they have stated over and OVER there will be enough spaces (+ extras) for each and every lot purchased prior to launch, to be placed in the game not (repeat NOT) in POTs.

Now it might not be in the Prime location or were you want or like but there WILL be a lot out there for you. And a NPC and PRT towns are all NPC towns not in POTs.

 

well as of May 2015 there were 107 Duke lvl pledges that will require keeps somewhere. i think there are may be half a dozen npc keeps lots currently in-game? so if I were a keep owner I'd be worried too.

What is the difference between a POT and a PTR town?

 

So if they add 1 keep lot to each template used for non POT towns a lot that if no keep is there shows up as trees or something else would that be enoght?

 

PRT is an old term used for a Player Run 'NPC' Town. Basicly just ment players occupied it, they are what were before PoTs (Player Owned Town).
ext: Kingsport used to be a PRT.

 

NPC is what people are calling Arodirs, Owls Head, Kingsport - places where there are NPC shops and vendors and such . . . .
PRT is like Aldwater - there is nothing there but Player owned houses - NO shops or vendors . . .
