Curious what locations everyone is going to pick and why?
Haha, that would be telling. A few of my guild friends are in the spot I'm looking at.
Up early on the 24th
Group 90, starting 10:00AM local time. I'll arrive from work around 6PM.
I'll take a row in Owl's Head. Or maybe not
Placed mine in Central Brit and have a nice little shoppe with tons of mining resources. Been loving it there. No really feeling the slums cause of the look but I'm sure it will be a decent spot as well with so many row spots, but personally I prefer central brit.
OH spots are all taken unless you have someone that is holding a place for you?
It's a secret... Depending on how the cookie crumbles I'll be posting Monday after I place/occupy my row lot.
I'm one of the last groups to place, so I figure many of the areas will be filled up by then - as row lots are the only remaining lots in some towns.
Placed mine at the harbor in Brittany Wharfs. I like the atmosphere of that scene and have a nice view over the harbor.
That it is close to shops, crafting pavilion, bank and public vendor doesn't hurt either.
Yeah, I was joking
Lots of excellent row lots available in Storm's Reach!
Good Question, I would like to have a Spot in a small clearing in the woods next to a beaten Path; but seeing as that option isn't exactly available to me, I will be trolling for idea's. To me, The Thought of missing any events that may happen in cities makes deciding difficult.
I know in my head where I want to place on the 24th. I have a backup idea. But I'll be location hunting on Tuesday just in case
I'm curious if there are enough row lots for everyone in big NPC towns?
I'm placing tomorrow -- have a few spots in mind. Hopefully nobody grabs them before me.
A friend of mine placed in Brittany Alleys and it has been a great spot so far. The blacksmith buys loot for the high price, town square is close to the entrance, expert crafting stations close to the entrance, and a bunch of decent player vendors already. Good prices too, sometimes excellent...
There are lots of spots still and a bunch close to the entrance, we will see if that's still the case in a few days..!
While I already have a lot reserved in a POT, I also wanted to play the land rush game, which has its fun part.
It is helping me getting to know interesting places thanks to the advertising residents are doing and it is a milestone in the history of the game we will always remember.
But an interesting effect I am noticing while waiting for my turn, is that I don't need land at all. Bank slots are now cheap and you don't need many since you don't need housing items, and your home can be pretty much any town. These days I live in the big squares, 'drink and sleep' in the inns, the decoration is the big statues, the sea...
As per utilities, public gardens (will) allow to grow my plants and I have a (public) vendor in a premium location at every town, where I also browse for shopping. If course plenty of crafting tables.
I'm getting used to a new and interesting way of life and another dimension of freedom.
@Thwip -- where are the expert crafting stations in alleys? You mean the ones in player houses?
There are still some spots left in etceter and I'm guessing it will be full soon
Yes, there are a few I've noticed in player houses so far. Wilfred has his in a row house right near the entrance, pretty handy. There are others too.
*by the way, thanks everyone for sharing your expert crafting stations with us!
Yeah its awesome... tons of vendors and crafting stations.
Post here as you end up placing your house! I'm now also in Brit alleys.
Brittany Alleys, if there are any spots left when I get my next turn
