Where to farm sulfurous ash?

Hi all,

Just recently came back and as we know gold can be very hard to earn in this game.

Anyway I'd like to know if there are places where we can farm sulfurous ash?

Hilt fortress is the obvious choice, as the Obsidian forge spawns tons and tons of fire elementals, but basically any place with fire elemental spawns will allow you to farm sulfurous ash.

One other place I like a lot is the bottom floor of Etceter Crag Mines, where you can mine gold and kill the few fire elementals as they respawn, but there are only 3 or 4 spawns there if I am not mistaken, so not the best place, but easier when solo, and a nice money making method in the process!

 

Aye, I built a nice supply whilst lava fishing in Etceter Crag Mines, starting to run low so need to head back there.

 

There's some by the fire elemental in Nightshade Pass -- also random encounters with wyverns (barbarian) and dragons (stag).
