Since SotA is free to play, there's absolutely no reason that I would purchase another character slot, especially since the bank and virtues are shared.

I suggest that the experience pool also be shared between avatars on the same account. That would give people a reason to buy multiple character slots.

Actually, we (guild in discord) talked about this last night, and I agree with Barugon .
2nd chars share a bank and reputation, so why not share their xp pools ?

Yes this would be the only benefit exactly! Good thinking right there :)

Personally the only reason i would buy a second character, which i can with purchasing a second account, is to play as a different alignment- good v evil. Currently the costs are not attractive.

experience pool also be shared between avatars on the same account:mad:
This is a bad idea and will be Gamed?

If all you want is a new char on same account with out having to play, go for it.

I would love to take my exp and make a diff char not an Ranger and not have to train them up, I already spent all the time right?

There is no skill cap anyhow so.

I took all the other crap down it is not worth it

Do as you want I reserve the right to say ITYS, when someone exploits it.

New Developers - you created a game that was meant to be PLAYED, a char with all exp already there is not played but Gamed. If payers are bored and want to try something new, they are one step from trying a new game.

    Now I am done

I am not exactly sure what you mean by shared pool. Would this mean If I make another toon on macs account, I could do all the first time crafts, (I share the recipes already) and have all that producer exp added to macs producer pool, delete that character, make another one, rince repeat. If all the mats are made, I could make myself about 16-20 mil producer every 4-5 hours. I am with weins on this one, this is a bad idea.

Seriously, you really think this would be more beneficial than just going to UT for an hour?

I would expect that the devs are smart enough to also share the experience scaling.

I actually like this idea except in reguards to the crafting side, Chris mentioned this a couple months ago.. from a business and in game economics stand point it’s benificial. Many players will be willing to play and try diffrent builds, down side is everyone will have a polearms dude :)

    1. They would sell char slots
    2. More skins for diffrent build outs on diffrent toons.
    3. More gear being purchased in game.
    4. Will extend play time for many people looking to develop additional char with a exsisting exp pool.

    @Weins201
I tend to agree with you on many things, but not so much on your comment here.

Firstly - just how much exp would you expect to get from doing quests on a new char with no skills ?

Next - what do you mean by "work a few area up" and not train any skills ? What areas are you gonna "work up" on a char with no skills and how are they gonna do it ?

I believe Weins was referring to Adventurer xp pools, not Crafting pools - but your comment about 1st time crafts is certainly valid.
For this, they would have to make 1st time crafts "shared", IE the 2nd char would share the 1st char's "knowledge" regarding whether it is a 1st time craft - just like the chars "share" reputation and banks.

Seriously ? A "lot" of xp's on a new char in lower tier'd areas (remember that char has no skills in your comment). No new char without skills is gonna work up any amount of xp's in areas where they could kill anything, and with no skills they're gonna have a pretty tough time killing anything.

That is a completely different issue (which can be and is being done as we speak) and has nothing wheresoever to do with sharing an Adventuring xp pool.

But the plan is still to share xp pools, eventually ?

Sharing XP pools is being proposed. Internally we also discussed making gold shared between characters. All of this is just proposal at this point.

When you first craft something, you get a large amount of experience. That amount scales down with each successive use until it reaches some stable value. According to Lord Subtleton, this is already shared, so it's not an issue.
