    I have been the proud owner of this home (Wood & Plaster 2-Story with Balcony Village Home (digital)) for over 1.5 years, and in all of my various iterations, I have yet to understand why the post is there in the center of the first floor, except from a 'realistic load-bearing' standpoint.

    If at all possible, if time permits, and if it is favorable to do so...

    ...could this piece of geometry be deleted, so that more decoration options are possible?
