You die. Waiting for res (or being dead) is the obvious time to edit your deck

Since you just died, you probably have a good idea of something you want to change.

How about we get the chance to do so while dead?

    Fantastic.

If you wait for the timer to run out (instead of finding an ankh) then not only to you take a temporary penalty to your stats, your equipment also takes damage.

I thought you got the penalty even with the ankh... you mean to tell me it's worse if you don't use it?

I constantly find myself in the situation of trying to change a couple of glyphs real quick before I accept a resurrection or decide to hit the ankh (before the time limit of course). Then I'm like, durp.....

Durp. That' aa good way to summarize the feeling of

"Crap I'm dead again I really need to slap in this glyph and remove that one which is doing nothing in this case. Healers are having a tough time so I've probably got a full minute to do it.

Oh... I can' modify decks while dead.

Great, now I'm alive and fighting and still don't have that adjusted....

Sigh. And I had had enough time to change it 3x over.

Well, can't do it during combat, so I can either run over that mountain and try it or just not switch at all.

    Sigh.

    Durp. "

You get decay (XP loss) unless you are directly killed by another player or you die in-town. The other penalties happen if you don't use an ankh. So yeah, it's worse.

BTW, you take half of your current decay amount when you revive but if someone in your party resurrects you then you only take a quarter.
