Banish undead insane crit damage

Afternoon,

Testing other spells damage, not doing more than 300-400 crits I think there is something wrong with the last changes with Banish undead. Crazy aoe dmg, this is from a guild mate;

 

Juan Solo...love it

 

I used it briefly in The Rise but didn't pay much attention to the damage amounts. My Banish is only 85 and Life Attun 90, do you know Juan's level and attunement? Will definitely have to test the out!

 

100-120 Int with 100 Attunement and skill level 80-90 you can hit those crits. Hard to hit for 600 crits with some others aoes.

 

You have my interest now!

Tonight I'll slap my wands on (~185 attun w/specilization in life) and see what I can hit for lol (although my banish is only at 90).

 

Do we know what scene this happened in and what level Juan Solo was when he got those crits?

Level comparison to the mob might be a factor.

 

It does only work against undead enemies though.

 

Elite skeletons, and he is 85. The dmg is too high considering you can't hit that with a single spell with that spell level. Looks like the frequency is too high.

 

Your charging to 5 though right. Those aren't single casts are they?

Juan is a guild mate, and yes, those are x5 (imagine with x6).

 

It was broken I knew and not doing aoe.. I am looking forward to testing it out. It may be a good trade off with our damage resistance nerfed . I am more than likely going to have to go back to plate mail in many situations.

Definitely a lot more useful now! Great for places like the area in front of the temple in the Lost Vale, when you are battling waves of undead...

 

uhg, someone told me this a while ago, what zone is the best zone where one can really properly farm a lot of just undead? I visited the zone a few months ago and it was decent but I forgot where it was!

 

That sounds about right then, considering all your other data... those are super crits... I could do similar crits, even though not often and not as high, with my polearm and one of the skills from the pole tree. So it's not broken. If you do that during the day, its like 200% boost just from the sun and undead + your stats and wands.

 

You don't get any daylight bonus, thats only Searin Ray . With polearms you will never hit 1/2 crits for 500-600, more about 1/5 or less (due to our high crit dmg but low crit chance).

We are doing more tests but that dmg should be fair for a single-target spell, too high for aoe spell imo.
