Not sure if this is a bug or some intermediate stage of a new development so I'm just taking a note of it in here.

I went to Solace Forest to take a few screenshots for my climbing guide, but found it to be almost completely barren. No trees, except harvestable ones. Luckily I had taken a screenshot six days ago so we can compare:

This is how it looked six days ago, looking down from the highest point on the hill and its rock formations:

..and this is how it looks today (same location, slightly different time of day).

Of course many locations may often look a little bit weird from really high elevations, also containing some clear visual glitches, like the white area in the following shot:

Not sure if I should be even reporting them. I'm aware that the visuals that climbers see are not exactly a priority. Some areas are really nice also when observing from high altitudes (like North Valeway),some are not. I know devs have more important things to do, so I'm just mentioning it as an aside.

But, back to to the actual point...no forest in Solace Forest? What's going on? o_O

This is legitimate testing of visuals from high points, you should log a bug report about it. They don't have many more important things to do than fix bugs, and this is definitely not right.

I needed wood to create brown maple lutes! I have to replant trees yet. :). The pattern was demanded by the Druids.

Seriously, must be a needed change for the plot line?

It won't hurt to report it Like Vyrin suggested just to make sure.

Well, you can barely imagine what you can see from the top of the Tower of Shuttered Eye... ;)

Actually if you look even closer you will see a 90% turned "East" indicator also. Just look where East shold be if you take that north for granted. :)

Because of this thread I went to Solace Forest. Even from the ground it looks strange and not at all the way I remember it looking several releases ago. But I like it - it is unlike any other area I know in the game, and it has sulfurous ash! I couldn't find my way up to the top of the mountain because the pesky skeletons wouldn't let me explore in peace, but I'm a terrible climber anyway.

Lol, you shouldn't tempt a climbing addict :D Now there are quite a few skeletal remains cluttering the upper third of the tower *cough*

Wasn't able to reach the very top, just a few meters short -- the inward facing sides of the four towers (at the very top at least) are like polished glass - no friction at all, effectively blocking the only spots where one could possibly bypass the top edge of the wall that is protruding outwards. It's a shame because the top of the tower looks like an excellent place for picnic..
But yeah, I saw what you mean ;)
