Somebody told me there is pancakes and bacon at the top of this mountain...

 

The number of backers is 60,558. New Britannians are website registrations. It is up to $149 per player.

 

And still no voice acting as a design goal, or effort to create more appealing dungeons or proper animations (well that can be fixed since pre alpha). Copy pasted maps and buildings which is one of the design philosophy of port regading the use of unity to save money ... well not much for 9 Millionen. I think the game needs more money and great that the communty still support the game. But the at the same time port has to show us what they are capable off.

There might be something pending with the first one. Lord Lionheart, Portalarium's audio lead, posted a while ago that he was looking for voice actors. And amplified by stating that they are analysing their requirements/needs.
I have no idea what, when or how much may be involved. Sounds promising, and there may well be something on the "to do" list, but almost certainly after final wipe, and if we are really lucky, before Ep 1 launch.

And for the rest - I respectfully suggest that until one has had extensive experience in the game industry, it is difficult or impossible to start making "value for money" claims about the current state of the game. I myself have no idea about fiscal arrangements, but I am absolutely convinced that we have a small, dedicated hard working team who are, and will be, delivering an awesome product.

$9 million is chickenfeed by comparison with some other games out there, yet we have what promises to be something really special. It may not be there yet - just remember that watching sausages being made is seldom exciting, but eating them afterwards is great!!

And an awesome effort by the community!!

 

Aye!... I do hope that amount average will fall. To think there's only 60K+ actual paid accounts thus far... that's only about the same population of Phetchabun Thailand

Hitting $9 million isn't just a number to us, it shows that there is a community out there that wants to see something truly special blossom from this project. We take every single dollar into careful account when planning new features, resolving issues with existing, and simply keeping the lights on at the office (we also buy coffee and soda too, thank you for that indulgence ).

Onward to $10 Million and a bright outlook for all Avatars!
